M4 is the organisations beginner band and welcomes players from blowing their very first note.
They rehearse on a Sunday from 17:30 - 19:00 during term time.
Members of M1 often help out with the band to give one to one support as members learn all about the basics of music such as rhythms and tempos as well as playing with other people.
Conductor Profile: Elizabeth Connell
Lizzie moved to Cardiff in 2015 and graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 2019 with a Bachelor of Music with Honours. Originally from Hull, Lizzie has been involved with the Melingriffith organisation since 2016, taking up the role as M4 MD in 2021.
Lizzie is now working within the 3rd sector, with a particular specialism in inclusive and accessible music making.
M4 enjoy a busy schedule of rehearsals and performance opportunities; regularly collaborating with the other bands in the organisation.
