With many contests seeing significantly increased entries, the level of competition was particularly strong across the board.<\/p>\n<p>Despite a determined effort to reach Delph, the exceptional number of bands competing this year, with an estimated 40\u201360 additional entries across the Saddleworth contests, meant we were unfortunately unable to perform there.<\/p>\n<h3>A Day to Remember<\/h3>\n<p>Whit Friday is always a highlight in the brass band calendar, combining tradition, stamina, and musicianship in equal measure.
